The White Horse Press is run by Alison and Andrew Johnson, who met in Oxford, but have spent most of the past 30 years living on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.
We now work from our home in Harris, where we also look after an island nature reserve.
The business takes its name from our daughter's Eriskay pony, Erica (now sadly deceased). Eriskay ponies are a local Hebridean breed, taking their name from the Isle of Eriskay, near South Uist.

The horse on our logo has a more classical pedigree, being derived from a marble fragment from the Acropolis in Athens (5th century BC)
